You're...At Home At
|
Why should adults get all the information?!
You're moving too and you are the one who will be in school all day.
So, just for you, here are some fun reasons why you will think our school
is the greatest!
At the School Store kids get to shop, create products to sell and work at being sellers and managers. The School Store is open during noon recess on Wednesdays. You never need to bring more that $1.00 to purchase items.
Crestwood students get to visit the School Forest. Some years, the teachers arrange
to stay overnight!
The International Festival is just the place to experience art, dance, food, and games from lots of different countries.
The all-school picnic ends our year with a chance to visit with all our Crestwood friends and their families. CAPT sponsors this fun activity and organizes games and activities for you!
Big and little "Buddies" gives kids in all grades a chance to make friends at a different grade level. Buddies read together regularly and may also work together on projects and activities.
The Crestwood Caper is our annual school carnival filled with games, food, and prizes. It is held on a Saturday in February or March. It is really fun!
The school woods, Kettle Pond, and Owen Park are great places to learn
about trees and other plants, and many different animals - and all in our
own back yard!
Books, books, books!! Our classrooms and our library have a huge selection of great books. CAPT also sponsors two book fairs so that you can add to your own library at home!
Odyssey of the Mind, a program of creative problem solving, is a popular activity, especially after one of the Crestwood teams won first place at the state competition and finished third in the World Finals competition in Orlando, Florida!
At Crestwood, you will have lots of chances to try new activities. Some of the fun things that you can look forward to are:
