Celebration of the Arts

Special nights are set aside each year to show off your artwork and put on vocal, strings and dance performances.

Dance Club

There are lots of opportunities for students to further study dance -- we even take our performances on the road!

Barn Dance - a Ho Down!

This special night is for students and families to practice dancing, laughing and having fun together.

Reading is Fundamental - RIF

You get to chose great books to keep on your own, three times a year!

Artists-in-Residence

Students have the chance to work with special artists in music, drama, dance and art.

Fall Carnival

This is an afternoon of fun, games, face painting and prizes for all.

Learn About The World

At Hawthorne, we learn about many people and many cultures - tell us about yours!

Student Council

Interested in helping our school and community? Consider getting involved in student council and learn about government and service.

Beginning and End of the Year Picnics

School families get together for a potluck meal at Hawthorne in the fall and at the East Madison Community Center in the spring. Join us for lots of good food and good fun.

Environmental Projects

Fourth and fifth graders visit the Mackenzie Environmental Center and other students make weekly trips to a nearby marsh.
