Clubs Galore!

Mendota kids enjoy after school Science Club and Cooking Club co-sponsored by our UW Biology partners. Over lunch, participate in Chess Club! There are special wrestling and jogging clubs too!

Jump Rope For Heart

Join with other students, learn about healthy habits and help raise charitable funds while having fun jumping!

Cultural Arts

Visit Civic Center productions with your class and participate in numerous multicultural assemblies. Enjoy our artists in residence, bringing culture from around the world. Help write and produce children's plays for your parents, students and friends. In February enjoy our Friendship Festival celebrating cultures and food from around the world.

Strings Concert

Fourth and fifth graders show their talents at an annual concert for parents and friends.

Olympics

Mendota kids showcase their athletic abilities during day long events and compete in games and other fun activities. Relax afterwards with treats from the parents.

Carnival

Twelve hours of pure excitement as kids earn coupons and participate in games. Select wonderful donations from the community. Your entire family gets to participate in the fun.

Science Fun Night and Science Fair

Observe visiting professors demonstrate unusual science projects. Create science projects to share with classmates and families.

Grandparents Thanksgiving Feast

A delicious turkey dinner served by community members. This is a BIG event.

Publishing Center and Reading Buddies

Mendota enjoys the support of over 70 community and parent volunteers who help kids read and also publish their books in our new Volunteer and Publishing Center.

Spelling Bee and Math Meet

Mendota kids compete with schools across the city in these annual events. We're consistently in the winning circle for the local math meet.

Peer Mediation

Receive training and get sworn in by a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Help other students resolve their conflicts.

Student Council

Join student leaders who help make important decisions about our school. Participate in fun activities like parties and cookouts. This year we published our own cookbook!
