Why should adults get all the information?!
You're moving too and you are the one who will be in school all day.
So, just for you, here are some fun reasons why you will think our school
is the greatest!
Experiment with soap bubbles large enough to stand in!!!
Use your E-mail address and write to other students at
school and throughout the state.
Review books for the Madison book store. The reviews are displayed at the store and in their newsletter.
Create pictures and stories using computers.
Each school campus has a Book Fair. Families can purchase books for home.
Special nights are set aside each year to showcase student artwork and let students and their families use their imaginations to create more art.
Students create carnival booths for an afternoon of FUN with games, popcorn, prizes and face-painting.
School families and staff gather for a picnic in the park.
Learn about and participate in an opera written for children.
Fifth grade students create an American History Museum; others display science and art projects. An evening of fun and learning for our families.
Participate in concerts that feature the sounds of voice, strings, percussion and recorders.
Pizza is available every month as part of the school hot lunch program.
Field trips, extended field studies, camping (including winter camping!), guest speakers, and community projects are also a part of our learning.
Families and students display their talents and raise money for the publication of Great Blue, The Journal of Student Inquiry. This journal of student writing culminates a year of inquiry projects in the areas of science, math, culture, art, reading and writing.
Clear trails at the Arboretum. Build and install bird boxes in the School Forest.
Learn about Wisconsin's geography, natural resources and people by touring parts of Wisconsin. Camp and spend nights at other schools as part of our adventure.
Students, staff and parents participate in a walk/run through the neighborhood with warm-up exercises, T-shirts and refreshments.
