You're moving too and you are the one who will be in school all day.
So, just for you, here are some fun reasons why you will think our school is the greatest!

Extensive Computer Program

You can use computers in classrooms and in the computer lab. We support you in using your creativity and unique talents in a variety of computer activities.

Parent Involvement

Sandburg's active parents support school programs and provide you with many extra opportunities such as: the Fun Fair, Sock Hop and YMCA Night, just to name a few.

Fine Arts

Arts are important to us at Sandburg. You and your friends can shine in student art shows and musical performances.

Student Council

Students at Sandburg actively work for their school. Council members help with and organize food drives, school beautification projects and citizenship awards.

School Book Fair

You can purchase great books to use at home and at school.

Talented and Gifted (TAG) Programming

TAG programs include Invention Convention, Writers' Tea, Sandburg Woods Project and Math Meet. All sorts of special activities take place both in the classroom and with you on your own.

Recognition Assemblies

All students at Sandburg are special and deserve recognition for their efforts. Three times a year, we hold special recognition programs where we celebrate student achievements and efforts.

Kids Count

At Sandburg all teachers work to make reading and math fun.

Active Learning Materials Center (LMC)

Our LMC director has tremendous knowledge about children's literature and she makes reading exciting and fun.

Volunteers, Tutors and Neighbors Work With Us

Parents, grandparents, university students, neighbors and more all come into Sandburg to make our school a great place to learn and grow.

Ready Set Go(al) Conferences

Introduce your teacher to your family and be part of setting your learning goals for the school year.

Learning Inside and Outside of School

We take field trips, bring in special guests and get involved in rewarding community service projects.
