Affiliated Alternatives is a National Demonstration Site
2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08

Our Mission

We are an equitable learning community comprised of four Alternative Programs:

•  Alternative Education Resource Options (AERO)

•  The Cluster Program

•  The School Age Parent Program (SAPAR)

•  The Work and Learn Center (WLC)

We value and strive for the knowledge, skills and attitudes that make it possible for all students to be successful members of families and society.

The Affiliated Alternative programs provide an engaging, small school setting.  We offer a new beginning for our students and unique learning opportunities designed to ensure success within our diverse world.

Our school community is committed to providing a learning environment that recognizes and respects diversity as paramount in fostering creativity, teamwork, trust, responsibility and student leadership in each student.

Learning is authentic, student-centered, and connected to the young person's future as a citizen, family member, worker and life-long learner.

At the Affiliated Alternatives, students gain a vision of who they are; what they can accomplish; and, the skills they need for their next step beyond us.
