Baby Shoes By Danielle

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Holly.  She wore me.  Now, she is in the second grade.  There are no more little ones in the family, so I am under her bed, awaiting a pair of feet to slip into me.   It is dark and cold and I have a mouth full of dust.  The only thing close to a human being that visits me is the family cat.  Her name is Ginger, so she says.  Why doesn't any one love me?  They could at least donate me to a family that cares about me.  But no.  I will have to wait here until someone loves me.
“Dad!  Where are my shoes?  The ones we just bought a week ago!”, said Holly.
“Look under your bed.”, Dad replied.  I saw a hand reach into the darkness and grasped me.  Thank Heavens!  Someone has saved me from the darkness.  What is she doing?
One minute later, I see nothing but garbage!  Where am I? I am not in their trashcan.  I must be in the dumpster!  How could she do this to me?  I was her favorite pair of shoes.  I served her for three months.  What's that noise?  Oh no!  My worse nightmare!  The garbage truck!  It's coming to take me away.
Help me!  Someone please help me!  I am wasting away in here!  Is someone here to save me!  Yes it is.  It's my owner's dad!
Now, I am in a box with gorgeous shoe wrapping paper.  A little girl is opening me.  Finally, a pair of feet is slipping into me!
“ You look so pretty in those shoes, Olivia Grace”, her mom said.
“ Those used to be my shoes”, said Holly.
“ Holly was going to throw them away!”, her sister replied.
     “ I'm glad she didn't!”, said Olivia's dad.
“ Me too”, her grandma said.
That was my story about a girl who threw me out, a man who saved me, and a little girl whose precious feet slipped into me.

Shoes need respect Too!
By Mariah

I am a faithful and loyal pair of shoes. But one day it was a usual Saturday until Sara's mom asked “Do you want to go to the mall with me?”  Sara jumped up and yelled, “YES”. She knew if she went her mom would buy her something new.
She was rushing to get ready because her mom said she was leaving in 10 minutes and she was looking for me and I was under her bed and she was like “Where are those ugly shoes at?”
Now that really hurt my feeling because I take Sara everywhere. So she kept looking and looking and finally found me and off we were to the mall. When we all got to the mall we looked around and went in a whole bunch of stores like Steve and Barry's, Radio Shack, Rave, Deb.'s and that's not even the half of them. But right on our way out we stopped at footlocker. I was so afraid I was going to get replaced. Well Sara and her mother were looking around and Sara was like mom “Can I get a new pair of shoes please?” all I could say was please say no. But she said yes. So Sara picked out the same shoes as me but in purple.  The only lucky part of the new shoe thing is they had to order the shoes in her size and they won't arrive for about one more weeks.
As soon as we got home Sara had to tell all her friends about her new shoes. I guess purple is the new pink. What does that mean?
All her friends were like “ooh my god I can't believe it”.
For the next week I was treated like I was nothing. I wish I could say” Sara I took u everywhere u wanted to go and now that you have new shoes you think you can run through mud with me and treat me like nothing. So I'm on a strike”. But I'm not playing as soon as we get home I'm gonna walk my way into a small space were she wont find me and then she wont have any shoes for three days because that is when her new shoes come. I can promise you one thing those purple shoes will be in mighty trouble when they arrive.
I have one day until purple come. Sara hasn't put me on all day. She has been on the phone or sitting on the couch. For my last day I would want to run and see the sunlight. But I guess not. That night I was put in the bottom of the closet and I was very sad.
The next morning I heard the doorbell ring and Sara scream and I knew my life was over then. I saw them. My opinion is that they're ugly and you know what Sara will see how much she misses me and put those purple ones in the closet.
Well now what do I do? I am so bored there is nothing to do it; has been 3 weeks and all I have done was sit in this closet and fight with these other old shoes. I can't believe it, here comes Sara, she takes me out of the closet and I think she taking me somewhere; I knew it she hates those ugly shoes. Well, all of a sudden we get in a van that I have never seen before, it belongs to her friend Adrianna. They're going camping for the weekend and I am the shoe that she is going to wear so her new shoes won't get dirty.
We got to the campsite and it was as muddy as could be and it was so nasty. But they decided to go back into town for dinner and she wore her purple shoes instead of me and her exact words were, “I better put on my newer shoes incase we see some cute boys”. So they were gone for about 2 hours and I was stuck in the rain under a tree.
They pulled up and Sara jumped out of the car and she must have forgot that she had her new shoes on and when she jumped down, mud splattered all over her and her shoes were deer brown. I couldn't help myself from laughing. Sara was very mad.
WE had gotten home and Sara's mom wasn't happy either she had just spent $70.00

Dollars on those. Sara actually had the nerve to ask, “ can we go to the mall to get new shoes?” Her mom said YES. The best part was that she wore me to the mall. They went into Footlocker and she picked out white shoes just like purple and me.

So now I am happy because purple and me have a new shoe life to ruin.

                                            The Cursed and the Wet
                                                      By Bryan

It was a dark and stormy night {I'm serious}. Lightning flashed and crackled. BUT this was no ordinary thunderstorm. The rain was liquid waste from a nuclear plant! On a nearby balcony a couple pair of flippers were drying. Crash! Lightning hit the flippers while they were being soaked with radiation. Some maniacal laughter was heard. Two days later…
Sally and Daniel were at a scuba store in Florida. Daniel's dog, Little Raptor had chewed on his flippers so they were there to get a new pair.
“Arrgh!” Daniel said. “That's the 9th time this WEEK! If he does that one more time I'll…”
“Daniel cool yourself.” Sally said. “We are here to get new flippers to explore the Galleon.
Daniel smiled. “Yeah I guess your right. Huh? Hey! Look at these!” Daniel had found a black pair of slippers. What he didn't know is that these flippers were the same ones from earlier in this story!
Daniel said “Oh no! I don't have enough money!”
Sally replied “Can't you find a cheaper pair…”
“NO! I want to use this pair.” Daniel said. Sally sighed. He wouldn't change his mind after he made a decision.
“I have some spare change for you.” A gravely voice said. This gravely voice was in fact an old woman. She had more wrinkles than a rotten apple. Her teeth and nails are a dirty urine yellow.
“Hey! This is exactly the amount I needed! Thanks! Huh? Old lady? Where did she go?” said Daniel but the old lady had vanished but left two bloody footprints from where she was.
“Daniel this is getting creepy…” Sally said.
“Come on! Let's go to the sunken wreck!” said Daniel obviously not concerned at all.
At the sunken wreck Sally and Daniel were exploring the wreck and had came to an intersection and were arguing which way to go.
Daniel wanted to go on the path that said “Treasure Roomh” Sally was suspicious of the misspelling and wanted to go on the path that said “Safe way out” They settled on an agreement. Daniel would go the way he wanted to go and Sally would go the way she wanted to go. They would meet at the boat later. As Daniel passed his sign, part of it fell off. What it really said was “Path of Death”
While Sally was searching the path she chose she suddenly felt like she was being followed. She turned around and saw Daniel… With his head bit off! His body was white and clammy and it was moving! The decapitated corpse was holding a knife and was about to stab her! She swam away as quickly as possible. She looked back and saw that the flippers had red eyes!
And then it hit her {and at the same time she hit a dead end}. The flippers had killed Daniel and then took control of his corpse.
The corpse had caught up to her and…

The ghost Nike shoes
By Khalil
Once there was a boy named Charles and he was a kid living an average life. One day when he got up for school he looked at his raggedy beat up talking shoes and he knew that when he got to school the kids would laugh at his ugly shoes and he was tired of it happening. After going through another humiliating day at school with his messed up shoes, he passed up the shoe store and saw some raw blue and black Nike shoes but he knew he couldn't afford them so he walked on sadly.
The shoe storekeeper saw how sad he was and ran after him and asked him why he was so sad. He knew why and then Charles told the story about his raggedy shoes and how the kids would laugh at him. The shoe store keeper felt sad for him but he really felt sad for his shoes so he told him to come in his store and take off his raggedy talking shoes and told Charles he could choose any pair of shoes in the store. Charles was very delighted and went strait to the Nikes he saw earlier and he walked out after thanking the shoe storekeeper.
When Charles got home he put his shoe up right away for the next day and he made sure these shoes would never get harmed so they could stay fresh and so clean. The next day Charles woke up feeling fresh because he knew that he could wear his shoes today so when got ready and when he went outside he saw his bus leave so he had to walk. As he was walking, he realized that he was going too fast to be walking so he looked down and realized he was an inch off the ground. He was both amazed and shocked but then for some reason the shoes kicked themselves off and ran to school leaving Charles in his socks chasing after them.
When Charles got to school he was seen chasing his shoes in his dirty socks and then everyone called Charles and his shoes insane freaks. Charles was upset but the shoes didn't take that lying down. The shoes immediately leaped up and jumped the guy who said that and that's when the other kids tried to attack the shoe. But the shoes were still more powerful because they had ghost powers so the shoes jumped the rest of the guys single footedly.      After this the guys all ran away like little wimps and Charles was knocked out with excitement. Later after school, Charles took his shoes home since they liked him because he took good care of them. Charles wondered why the shoes were like that and then all of a sudden his shoes gave Charles a charge.

Charles realized he had powers like the shoes but the shoes were gone and there was a note by the burn mark the shoes left and it said thanks for everything Charles and there was the brand new pair of shoes next to the note. This was the beginning of a new life for Charles. To be continued…

Fly Shoes, Fly
By Ashley
Once long ago, long, long ago, there was a pair of shoes. These shoes weren't ordinary. These shoes could fly. They could fly so high, that you would be in the clouds high above. Not only did these shoes fly, but they also had a super power. They could predict the future. This is the story of the MISSING EXTRAORDINARY SHOES.
Picture this, shoes everywhere, and this certain pair just pops up like you were supposed to find them. All of a sudden Anne Gibson and Annie Ware start fighting over the shoes. Fists are flying and blood is everywhere. Of course one person has to win, so Anne punches Annie so hard that Annie falls out. Anne walks to the register with a smirk on her face. She buys the shoes and leaves.
The police arrive, and take Annie away in an ambulance. They ask her what happened, and she says she slipped and fell, and after that, she didn't know what happened. But Annie was telling a lie. She knew what happened to her and she had a plan.
After Annie was feeling better, for months, she searched for this Anne Gibson. She knew what she was going to do to her and how she was going to do it. Finally, Annie found her. Anne was living right next door. After Annie found Anne, she crept to Anne's house. No one was there, to she broke in. She was going to wait there until Anne came home, and then she was going to knock Anne out and tie her up.
Anne came home. She went in her house and started watching TV, not knowing what was about to happen to her. Annie came up behind Anne and knocked her upside her head with a stone carving. BAM! Anne was out cold. Annie tied her up in a chair. Anne woke up, and saw Annie standing there smiling.
“What the heck is wrong with you!” She screamed
“Where are the flying shoes?”
“What are you... I know who you are. You're the lady from the store.”
“Never mind that, where are those shoes!”
“They're in my room under the bed. OOPS. I wasn't supposed to tell you that.”
Annie went and got the shoes. She came back down and laughed in Anne's face.
Anne screamed out, “Fly shoes, Fly!”
The shoes leaped out of Anne's hand and were flying around, trying to get away from Annie. After hours of chasing those shoes, Annie finally gave up. She untied Anne. Annie said,” I'm sorry I went through all this trouble just to get a dumb pair of shoes. Can we be friends.”
Anne said yes. They've been friends ever since.

The So Called Pretty Pink Pair of Shoes
By: Becca

Hi, I'm those pretty pink pair of baby's shoes in the picture. I used to be brand new and clean and so, so pretty. But then, just like every other pair of shoes, I got worn out, and dirty, but I was still a very faithful pair of shoes. I took my owner everywhere that she wanted to go, but I guess my owner didn't think I was so faithful. Well, I was tossed away with the garbage just like everyone else. I thought that maybe with a little bit of luck that I could stay forever and ever with my owner. But, as it turns out, all my luck is gone, and I'm here in the dumpster. This is my whole story.
It all started about 8 or 9 months ago. My owners wanted a new pretty pair of shoes for their little girl. I was just sitting there on the shelf when they came with her. As soon as I saw them I knew that they were the owners for me. But as it turns out I have a bad taste in owners. They picked me up off the shelves, and they loved me. So when we got to their house I went exploring with my new owner. I went everywhere with her. They all loved me. We had a great friendship. But after a while, I got dirty and worn out.
Then, one day when we were walking in the park, when my owner tripped and fell. She got really mad. And so her owners said that I just had to go. I don't know why it was my fault though, it's not like I meant for it to happen. But they said they were going to the store that afternoon to go pick up new shoes for their daughter.
And so now here I am, in the dumpster with all of the other shoes. I thought that my owner loved me. At least I thought that I was pretty. But maybe I'm not. I do however remember my owners talking about how you can't judge a book by its cover. I got really confused at that point. I'm not a book, I'm a pair of shoes.
Anyway, there isn't anything left to say except that if there are any shoes who are reading this, then never ever judge a book by its cover- whatever that means. But watch out those humans don't know what they're throwing away. Good- Bye and good luck.

I am the funky platform.
You can wear me to class, mall
Or even in the hall.
Doesn't matter where you go
Just don't forget to show------off

Pink, red, green, yellow
When people see you wearing me they'll say “HELLO”
When people ask you what kind of shoe are you
Say “ I'm the Funky Platform and you be one too”
I just love to go clubbin' at night
And if you get in a fight
Just take me off and everything will be aight.
Well it's almost time for me to go
To get mah butt on da dance floe

Super, Wonderful, Great, Fantastic Shoes
By: Cayla

Once there was a boy named Gorgephilbob.  He had great long legs and was very skinny.  Gorgephilbob was really good at running.  He wanted to join the Track Team.  One day Gorgephilbob went down to watch the track team practice and was getting ready.  He saw that all the track team boys had these great expensive shoes.  Gorgephilbob only had these old ripped up tennis shoes.  Gorgephilbob came home sad and angry; he did not make the track team because he tripped on his shoelace of his old ripped shoes.  Gorgephilbob's mother asked, “ What's Wrong, Sweetie?”  “ I did not make the track team because of my stupid shoes.”  Gorgeohilbob responded.  His mother and he went shopping.  Gorgephilbob saw these great shoes at the shoe shop.  They had little wings on the back of the shoes.  They were blue lines and had yellow sems running across them.  He had to have those shoes, he told himself.  He asked his mom if he could by them.  She was kind of hasty about it; the price was so high!  She let him have them though.
The next day Gorgephilbob went to the track team to re-try his try-out.  He felt like he could sore through the sky, like an eagle with his new shoes.  He marched right up to the captain and demanded a second try.  With the captains nose stuck up in the air,
“ Sure” he said.  The whole teamed giggled.  Nervous, Gorgephilbob got in line and ran as fast as he could.  He said to himself “I am a eagle, I can fly faster than all the people I am racing against.”  Sure enough, he got 1st!  He stood there in front of the captain and said,  “ I won, I get to be on the team.”  Gorgephilbob stood there with a huge smile on his face and realized that it wasn't the shoes that made him run faster.  It was the confidence that the shoes gave him to run faster.

 The Unfortunate Shoes
By: Emily
These shoes have been all over the world.  These shoes belong to Landon Donovan, the famous soccer player.  He has had these shoes for two and a half years.  They have traveled and played together through two world cups, in France and Taiwan.  The two were inseparable and the perfect pair.  They did almost everything together.  Landon even wore his soccer shoes to the grocery store.
One day Landon tripped on his way to the Gym and ripped his shoe.  He was really mad that he had ripped his favorite shoes and could not wear them again.  He took them off and walked the rest of the way barefoot.  When he got to the gym he threw the shoes in the garbage can right inside the door.  He went and did his workout routine barefoot.  The whole workout was lonely for him because he usually had his shoes keep him company but now they were gone.  He finished his work out and walked sadly home.  Each step he took reminded him of his shoes.  He just kept telling himself he will go tomorrow and get new and better ones that weren't as old or used.
When he got home he took a shower and got dressed to go out to dinner. He was going out to dinner with some of his friends.  “This ought to cheer me up,” he said to himself.  But when he got there he was smiling and joking and having a good time.  Or so he thought on the outside but inside he was very sad.  He just put on a happy face so his friends would think everything is ok.  If he told them that he was sad about his soccer shoes then they would laugh at him.
He left the dinner early and went home.  He went to bed but all he could think about were his poor soccer shoes lying in the trash at the gym.  It was then that he finally made up his mind.  He was going to go down to the gym first thing in the morning and get his shoes back.
He woke up and took a shower then he got dressed and left right away.  He was so excited about getting his shoes back he actually ran all the way there.  When he got there he looked in the garbage and his shoes were gone!!  He was so startled that he ran into the owner of the gym.  He yelled, “where did you put the shoes that were in this can yesterday!”  The owner replied, “We throw everything in the garbage cans into the dumpster out back.”  Landon ran out back and jumped in the dumpster.  He just had to find those shoes.  Finally after ten minutes of tearing trough the trash he found them.  They were reunited never to part again.

The flip flops
By Kate
Ana wanted some new summer shoes. She had shoes but they were not summer shoes. So Ana's mom took her to the store. Ana didn't see any shoes she liked so they went to lots of stores. Ana and her mom had been shopping all day when missy came upon the perfect shoes. They were yellow and white. Ana wanted them so bad. Her mom finally bought them for her and they went home.
The next day Ana wore them to school. “They are so comfortable”, Ana was telling her friends. But when she got into the school there was this loud and annoying noise coming down the hall. Everyone stopped and looked to see what it was. It was Ana and her new shoes. The noise was a constant “flip flop, flip flop.” The bell was about to ring so everyone had to go to class. Finally it was time to go home. Ana ran the whole way home.
When Ana got home she told her mom all about the day. She said the shoes were so loud, and that she needs new ones. So Ana and her mom went shopping again. This time she found shoes that were 5” tall, she thought they were so cool so she bought them,
Today at school she was taller then everyone in the hall and everyone was looking at her so she had to get new shoe. And the whole thing started all over again.

 Blue Suede Shoes
By Katy

Hello, our names are Blue and Suede, and our last name is Shoes. We are shoes. In fact we our rather old, famous shoes. We were friends of Elvis Presley. We started in a very nice, big factory, we didn't know each other yet, but we both knew we would soon meet some one. In the shoe factory, every one came out in pairs, so we would need another shoe, to make a pair. We said a polite hello and got to talking, about family, religion, politics, the weather, and we talked a lot about who might buy us. When we were bought, a big crowd of scary looking guys, with sun glasses and black suits came in with a guy. The guy was sort of ugly, he greased his way too much, and he talked a little strange too. We figured he must be nice though if all of those people were with them. We had no idea what was in store for us.
The man saw us, tried us on, and then we were put in a box, which was more like coffin. Then we got all jolted, and thrown around. Then we finally got taken out and the man put us on.   We were a perfect fit.  Then the man closed the door behind us and made sure there was no one in the room, closed the blinds, flipped the light, and started dancing. He was HORRIBLE! This guy was apparently very famous, he had a big dressing room and he had lots of people watching him. And there were camera's everywhere he went. There were screaming women and a few screaming men too!
That night we went to a place and he wasn't wearing us at first, but about 30 minutes later, we heard a big loud booming voice that sounded like the man who had been wearing us (we figured out his name was Elvis) said really loud: I have a new song called Blue Suede Shoes and to help me introduce it to you I'm going to go get on my very own, brand new, blue suede shoes.  So he came back to us, got us on and started walking towards where he had come from just a few seconds ago.
Woah. The light was absolutely blinding! We couldn't see anything, but we could hear a whole lot! We heard all sorts of sounds. Sounds from screaming men and women. Sounds of people yelling to Elvis. And then, we heard Elvis himself. He had a strange voice, but it was incredible. He could sing. He belted out the words! “Don't you, step on my blue suede shoes!” He was singing about us! It was unbelievable. We were living the life and we had only been out of the shoe store for 1 day.  Never could I have imagined (by the way this is being dictated from the words of Blue; Suede couldn't make it today) being famous, having a best friend like Elvis (who did talk to us by the way, a little strange, but it was nice to have a friend. The funny part was that whenever we answered his questions, he always ignored us.) Going on stage, being kept clean all the time, being kept in the nicest shoe boxes when we were transferred, being kept in the nicest cases when we slept at night, and having a song written about us! Who would have thought it could happen to us?
Some times weren't as good though; Elvis wasn't the nicest, healthiest, law abiding citizen in this country, but a lot of the times we just had to watch as he leaned over the toilet.
We saw Elvis die, we know what really happened, but we will never tell, because when we're old and worn, and we go to shoe heaven, and we go on field trips to people heaven we want to see Elvis, and we want him to respect us and finally know that we can have conversations, and we could be even better friends.

 The Perfect Shoe
By Kate P

It was a week before school started and Angie announced that she needed new shoes. So her parents took her to the Nike Outlet. She looked around the store and said, “I don't want Nike shoes but I'll look around any ways.” So she went to the back of the store and searched for the shoes she wanted. Her mom came up to her carrying a shoebox and her mom said excitedly, “How about these?” She opened the box and inside it were some pink shoes that  flashed when you stepped down on them. She didn't like them at all so she walked away to find some more shoes. Angie didn't like any of the shoes so she made her parents take her somewhere else.
They tried Adidas (No luck), Sketchers (No luck there either), and New Balance (No luck whatsoever.) That was pretty much it for the shoe stores in West Hills, California. They began to get discouraged. Then they remembered that there was a big shoe store that carried all kind of brands of shoes. That was their last chance to find a pair of shoes that Angie liked. So they all got in the car and drove to the store.
As soon as they walked in, Angie saw the shoe she wanted. She ran to the back and got a size 7.5 from the shelf. She tried them on, a perfect fit. Her parents paid for them and they walked out of there. Angie was happy she found her shoe.

                                          Story of a Shoe                                         (top)
By Laurel

Hi! I'm a pair of Adidas shoes. I'm going to tell  you the story of my life.
I was born in a factory somewhere far away. All I remember was that it was really dark. I was put in a small black cardboard box. I could hardly breathe! Then I was put in a crate with a lot of other boxes of shoes that looked just like me! Some were bigger, some were smaller, but we all had the same patterns.
The next thing that happened was very uncomfortable. The crate and many other crates were stacked and piled in a big truck. The trip wasn't very smooth. We kept sliding around and I hit my poor toe at least twice.
The trip only lasted a couple hours but it felt like days. When they finally took us out of the truck I could see a little day light shining through the crate. The next stop was a huge boat. They stacked us inside once again and this time we did travel for days! When the ship finally stopped we were put on yet another truck. I think I slept through the whole trip.
Before I knew it I was off that truck being brought into a building. The walls were almost stacked to the ceiling with shoes! There were many shelves holding all different kinds of shoes too!  I felt the crate being yanked open and I saw a man standing over us. He started to take the other boxes out. He started putting the boxes on the shelves. Up we go!
A lot of people came by and started messily yanking us off the shelves! They opened our boxes and put us on their feet, walk around and say, “Too small” or, “Too big.”
This happened many times until one day when a boy came up and pulled my box off the shelf. He examined me then put me on his feet. It was a perfect fit! “Take me home!”  wanted to yell, but he took me off, put me back in my familiar box, but didn't put me on the shelf. I didn't understand what was going on! He took me over to the counter and the woman picked me up and put this white plastic thing that looked like a telephone against my side. He gave her something and then he picked me up and carried me out the door! He was taking me home!

 Fred's Stinky Feet
(top)                                                                                          By Liz
These Shoes have been on the feet of a man named Fred.  Born into a poor family the only pair of shoes Fred owned was this beautiful pair of bowling shoes. He loved his Beautiful pair of bowling shoes. He wore them everywhere, sometimes he even slept in them. His shoes really smelled horrible but he didn't care, they were his shoes and that was all that mattered. After a while Fred thought his shoes needed a name, they were like kids to him so he named the right shoe Stinky and the left shoe Feet.

One day Fred couldn't find Stinky and Feet. He looked all over the place. His mom finally told him she threw Stinky and Feet away. He was really mad at his mom. He asked his mom “How could you throw away Stinky and Feet” she said “I don't know but I got a surprise for you.” as she said that she pulled out a new beautiful pair of bowling shoes. Fred loved his new pair of bowling shoes and he named them also New Stinky and feet.

Fred took care of his shoes and they lasted a long time when they got too old and started falling apart Fred knew it was time to do something so he bought a new pair of shoes.  Instead of throwing new stinky and feet away he placed them in a box so he could keep his stinky feet forever and ever and ever.

   OLD SHOES
By Mila
Even as old, as stinky and as UGLY as these shoes are they were some one prized possession.
Billy-Bob collected shoes.   He had all sorts. Some were new and elegant and some were completely falling apart! He must have had 75 pairs of shoes! Some times kids made fun of him for having such an odd hobby.  This did not bother Billy-Bob too much.  He loved all his shoes and no one would make him give any pair up!
Billy-Bob's favorite pair was the old tap shoes.  He wore them every day. He loved to walk down the school hall clink clanking along.  Even when he was sitting and doing work he tapped his foot as loudly as possible.
Sometimes he got in trouble for making so much noise and kids would make fun of him, but he didn't care.  He loved his shoes and no one was going to make him give them up!
Sometimes Billy-Bob would put his feet up on an empty seat, just to show off his ugly shoes.  Then they kids got really mad.  Not only was the seat all dirty now, the whole room was filled with such a stench that a few kids darted out the door to BREATHE!
People  complained and tried so had to stay away from him, but he really didn't care because he loved his shoes and No one  was going to take them away!
But they did.  They came to Billy-Bob's house on a Saturday and his mom lead them to his closet where they were preciously kept a beautiful but very smelly box.  The two men from school fought over who would take those shoes to the dump.
Finally, in tears, Billy-Bob came in.  He had heard it all.  He didn't even try to stop them. Instead he picked then up and put them gently in the garbage.
“Good bye,” He said through the sniffles, “I'll miss you,”
The men rolled their eyes and stomped off.
“Could you take the trash out, please?” The mother said holding her nose.
So that was the end of those shoes. Billy-Bob hoped they had a good life at the dump.   It took Billy-Bob a while to recover.  When he did he got new tap shoes.  They were not old but definitely ugly.  They were Billy-Bob's new best friends.

Pets R' Us Over Night Delivery
     By: Darvin
Do you sometimes wish that you could have an action packed life? Well, when you live as a shoe, you get a very surprising life.
When I was born in my low budget, cardboard box factory, I was a brand new pair of pink slippers. I was wondering if I would ever leave that dark, dank place. People always seemed to pick the fancy shoes, all different colors, and that cost 100$ each. Nobody seemed to know I was even there, walking by me time after time.
After two months, I was put back into the old, dark storage closet. I didn't know that I was going to stay in that, that prison, for a very long time. In that closet, I learned that life is not always fair, and grief and despair are your only friends.
In time, I was able to accept my surroundings, and learned the secrets of power. I became a ruthless pair of slippers, dirty, and non-caring, but then something happened that changed my attitude and life forever.
It was in the morning, and I heard through the closet doors that a new business was opening that were looking for old pairs of shoes. When the manager came and picked me, I was very surprised.      A young looking male came and delivered me to the new factory.
I took a glance at the sign and read `Pets R Us'. Right then and there, I knew that the world would finally know just whom they were messing with.
I learned that with every pair of shoes that were delivered, an animal would go with that box. I was to be sold to a female human that wanted a monkey with slippers. There was a drawback to being with this monkey though, when we were put in a box, it started to whine, it looked like it was forty years old!
We were being delivered, when the first accident happened. The monkey died from exhaustion. I could see the house I was supposed to be delivered to go farther and farther away from my sight. I started to scream in rage, bumping back and forth against my box, but nobody was able to hear me.
In two weeks, I was shipped out again with a much younger monkey that was still a baby. I was so excited when we pulled up to the driveway and were given to the female human that took us in eagerly.
“OOOOH! Mom! Look at these pink slippers! And this monkey is just adorable!”
That was the female's first reaction to us. I soon learned that she was known as Drone, or Brittany in the foreign tongue.
I learned to love Drone with all my heart and learned how to even appreciate the monkey which she called Fuzzy. The only person that I didn't love was Drone's younger male brother, Greb. He always separated me from Drone.
Then the day came that I would hate greb for the rest of my life. He took a knife and made a hole in me and stuffed Drone's picture of Fuzzy, Drone, and me on her feet, inside of me. When she saw me with the rip, she sowed me back together, but she just didn't like me like the way she did before so she threw me in the garbage.
The only good thing is, I'll always be able to remember Drone the picture that is engraved in my mind. So now I depart this world with this picture and I hope you know my pain.
                                ABUSED SHOES                       (top)
By Jerilyn
Being a shoe is not easy. If you had the chance to see what a shoe goes through you would start to be nicer and kinder to your shoes and other people's shoes. If you read on I will tell you a terrible story about one particular pair of shoes going through the life of a football cheerleader. (Worse than some shoes life)

These shoes live with a football cheerleader named Rebecca. Everyday they go out and run for an hour each morning! They bend and lift, bend and lift for a whole hour! When they get back to Rebecca's house they end up being thrown anywhere, sometimes on the hard wood floor, sometimes on the nice bushy carpet until Rebecca is done changing and eating. They sit for about half an hour and then are being put on again to be tortured.

They walk out the door again and go straight to the broken down car. The petals in the car get stuck every now and then. Rebecca starts the car and the shoes push down the petal. Their driving for a while and all of a sudden a petal won't go down and Rebecca needs to stop. She goes around the block again trying to get the petal down, even though the shoes are doing most the work being stuck to the petal and pushing as hard as they can. Finally it goes down and Rebecca gets out of the car and walks two blocks to get to the gym! Up and down, up and down go the shoes. She reaches the gym and there they stretch and the shoes get to sit for a while but then all the torture starts all over again and Rebecca and her squad have to practice cheering. They jump up and down and up and down. They cartwheel and their shoes get flung around in a circle and this goes on for a while. Finally practice is over but the torture isn't! They walk back to Rebecca's car and get home safely but then there is a little brother in the house practicing karate and the floor shakes every time he jumps. The shoes are thinking the torture will never end! Rebecca goes into her room and sits on her bed to get ready for her homework. The shoes get to rest but they have to sit surrounding a very sweaty and stinky foot so by the time Rebecca is done with her homework the shoes are all wet and smelly. Rebecca finally takes them off for the day but she throws them on the hard wood floor with the dog. She leaves to have dinner and the dog comes over and starts sniffing the shoes. The dog won't leave them alone. Finally the dog leaves after he heard something drop on the ground in the kitchen. The shoes finally have a moment in peace and Rebecca's mom makes her go pick up her shoes and put them away. She comes back to put them away and they are stuck to the floor by gum. She tugs and pulls and finally the gum comes off and they are free. They get to lay on the comforting carpet and get to rest until the next day comes and the torture starts all over again.
