The Budget Seminar was called to order by Carol Carstensen at 7:01 p.m.

  1. State Equalization Formula and Process for Determining Allowable Expenditures for a Budget Year

  3. Review of the 2003-04 District Budget

    Roger Price presented the process for determining the revenue cap - showing the actual worksheets that the district uses. Roger explained how the figures used for enrollment differed according to what was or was not included. He showed what was covered in aidable costs, discussed the state computer aid and the amount that the district "pays" for the Milwaukee voucher program. Lastly, Roger explained how the state equalization formula worked. There was discussion about property value and how it is determined.

    1. Average salary and fringe costs by job category.
    2. Individual copies of the participant names, addresses and telephone numbers.
