Long Range Planning Committee meeting was called to order by Chair Carol Carstensen at 4 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Carol Carstensen, Lawrie Kobza, Arlene Silveira

STAFF PRESENT: Sue Abplanalp, Mary Gulbrandsen, Pam Nash
1. LongRangeFacility Use Planning Process
Mary Gulbrandsen reviewed the process and steps that led to this meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to gather and share ideas to address potential school closings and consolidation for the East attendance area.
2. Ideas to Address the Use of Elementary and Middle School Facilities in the East Attendance Area in Relation to Proposed 2007-08 Budget Reductions
(Written materials provided in advance: Flyer announcing Informational Meetings for the Potential Consolidation and Closing of Schools in the Black Hawk Attendance Area - attached to the original of these minutes.)
Members of the audience asked questions and provided feedback about the ideas presented regarding closing or consolidating schools in the East Attendance Area.
Comment sheets were distributed and collected from the audience (summary is attached to the original of these minutes).
3. Next Steps in the Process for Addressing Elementary Facility Use in the East Attendance Area
Additional meetings are scheduled for March 27, 2007 at Black Hawk Middle School and March 29, 2007 at the Doyle Administration Building.
