Long Range Planning Committee meeting was called to order by Chair Carol Carstensen at 6:30 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Carol Carstensen, Lawrie Kobza, Arlene Silveira
MEMBERS ABSENT: None

1. LongRangeFacility Use Planning Process
Mary Gulbrandsen reviewed the process and steps that led to this meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to gather and share ideas to address potential school closings and consolidations for the East Attendance Area.
2. Ideas to Address the Use of Elementary and Middle School Facilities in the East Attendance Area in Relation to Proposed 2007-08 Budget Reductions

Members of the audience asked questions and provided feedback about the ideas presented regarding closing or consolidating schools in the East Attendance Area.
Comment sheets were distributed and collected from the audience (the summary is attached to the original copy of these minutes).
3. Next Steps in the Process for Addressing Elementary Facility Use in the East Attendance Area
The Board of Education will continue to hold open meetings as the proposed budget is discussed and will hold public hearings on April 17 and 19, 2007.
