Special Meeting of the Board of Education was called to order by President Johnny Winston, Jr. at 5:55 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Carol Carstensen, Maya Cole (arrived 6:04 p.m.), Lawrie Kobza, Lucy Mathiak, Beth Moss, Arlene Silveira, Johnny Winston, Jr.
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: Attorney Frank Crisafi, Mary Gulbrandsen, Roger Price, Art Rainwater, Barbara Lehman-Recording Secretary
OPEN SESSION (Auditorium)
Student Representative Joe Carlsmith joined the meeting at this time.
2. Approval of Minutes
It was moved by Carol Carstensen and seconded by Lawrie Kobza to approve the minutes of the Special meetings dated April 16, 2007 (two different meetings) as distributed. Student Representative advisory vote was aye. Motion unanimously carried.
3. Public Appearances
There were no public appearances.
4. Announcements
There were no announcements.
It was moved by Lawrie Kobza and seconded by Beth Moss to table agenda items 5 and 6. Student Representative advisory vote was aye. Motion unanimously carried.
5. Proposed MMSD Contract Compliance Plan
(Packets included the Contract Compliance Five Year Plan 2007-12 and a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the plan. Copies are attached to the original of these minutes.)

8. Adjournment
It was moved by Carol Carstensen and seconded by Lawrie Kobza to adjourn the meeting at 7:21 p.m. Motion unanimously carried.
