The many MMSD staff development opportunities in the Stress Challenge program
include:
- Belay Training (the safety system and skills for
supporting climbers on the High Ropes Course)
- Classroom support by stress/challenge staff for teachers
working to build community in their classroom
- Staff inservice covering the foundations and implementation
of stress/challenge in the classroom and beyond
- Inservice opportunities for school staff or other
groups to live the community building process for themselves
- MMSD Facilitator training offered in an intensive
5-day format, which prepares staff to serve in a leadership role for
high ropes, low ropes, and caving experiences
