MMSD video, professional and individual school library Catalogs: Access your school library, the video library, or the Madison School and Community Education Library (the professional library downtown formerly called the ERL) The site will time-out. Click on "OK" and then choose the library you want to access.

Ask Eric: This is the federally-funded Educational Resources Information Center online resource focussing on education-related issues.
Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators: This is a teacher's resource offering ideas to enhance curriculum.
MarcoPolo: This is a searchable database of lesson plans, with emphasis on Internet resources.
Scholatic Teachers: Find curriculum ideas, author information, projects and activities for pre-K - grade 8.
Unitedstreaming website: Search the unitedstreaming database of videos, photos, lesson plans, clip art, sound effects, etc. by subject or grade level. Loggin with your staff number without the "B."
Wisconsin Educational Communications Board Instructional Database: Search the public television educational database by curriculum, topic, grade level or text.
Classroom tools from the Wisconsin Historical Society: Lists resources from the State Historical Society. Offers a search engine for topics and grade levels. Also has Wisconsin history reference tools and field trips to click on.

Teaching Books: Provides easy access to authors, illustrators and exceptional book resources. As part of BadgerLink, it requires free registration and sign-up.

Awards - Randolph Caldecott Award: Find the current and past winners and honor books of the Caldecott Award, given to the illustrator of the most distinguished American picture book published each year.
Awards - Coretta Scott King Award: Find the current and past winners and honor books of the Coretta Scott King Award. Recipients are authors and illustrators of African descent whose distinguished books promote an understanding and appreciation of the "American Dream."
Awards - John Newbery Award: Find the current and past winners and honor books of the Newbery Award, given to the author of the most distinguished American book for children (up to age 14).

DPI: Find information from the Department of Public Instruction.
Puzzlemaker: Create crossword puzzles, word searches, cryptograms, math squares, mazes and other types of puzzles. I have not found a way to save an unfinished puzzle, so allot a good amount of time to create a finished puzzle.
