FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JULY 26, 2000
Mary Lalime has been named as the new registrar for the Madison School District, pending the approval of the Board of Education at its July 31 meeting.
The registrar handles student-related issues such as residency, guardianship and open enrollment, in addition to official attendance counts.
Lalime, a former registrar in Arlington Heights, IL, has experience in both education and business. Most recently she was an information specialist in customer financial services for Kraft Foods in Madison, and previously had worked for Wisconsin's Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESA) 2nd district.
Lalime replaces the retiring John Gaffney, who has been with the district for 29 years, including the last eight years as registrar.
