Howard Landsman, Grants and Funds Development Coordinator for MMSD, has been named Outstanding Fund-Raising Executive by the local chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
Landsman will be honored along with three other award winners at the annual Philanthropy Day breakfast on Friday, November 17. Landsman's selection was based on nominations from several area organizations with whom he has worked over the years.
The news release from the Society says:
"Over the past five years, Howard Landsman has developed the Madison Metropolitan School District's first fund raising and grant writing program. His efforts have brought in over $17 million in grants to improve education for Madison's school children. He has also been a leader in establishing a private foundation for the schools to support worthy programs and projects that otherwise would not occur."
