Karen Seno has been named interim principal at Cherokee Middle School, Superintendent Art Rainwater announced today. The appointment must be approved by the Board of Education at its Monday, August 28 meeting.
Seno has been with Madison schools since 1993. She was a teacher at Madison Middle School 2000 from 1993-96; taught high school age students at the Broadway-Simpson alternative program during the 1996-97 school year; and was a learning coordinator at Wright Middle School from 1997-2000.
Seno received her bachelor's degree in English/Education from UW-Madison in 1992.
