The tentative school year calendar for 2003-04 features starting the school year on Tuesday, September 2 and ending it on Friday, June 11. Winter Break will remain two weeks long and Spring Break will continue to be six days in length.
The calendar features changes from previous years because, for the first time in many years, the Madison school year will start in September as mandated by state law.
A tentative calendar is being released now to assist families in their long-range plans. The school year calendar is part of teacher contract negotiations, and changes may occur after negotiations are completed.
