Hamilton Students Also Invited to Governor's Ceremony

Math Whizzes to be Honored for Acing Math Exam

Three Hamilton Middle School students – eighth grader Yian Zhang and seventh graders Evgenia Goryshina and Fang-Xin Li – will join siblings Po-Ru Loh and Po-Ling Loh of Jefferson Middle School at the State Capitol ceremony on Friday honoring them for earning perfect scores on national mathematics tests.

Governor Tommy Thompson will salute the five students in his office, Room 115 East, in the State Capitol on Friday, March 19 at 3 p.m.

Zhang, Goyrshina and Li all earned perfect scores on the American Junior High School Mathematics Examination (AJHSME).

Po-Ru Loh, an eighth grader at Jefferson, had a perfect score for the second year in a row on the AJHSME and also achieved perfection on the American High School Mathematics Examination.

Po-Ru's sister, Po-Ling, is in her first year of middle school as a sixth grader at Jefferson. She also earned a perfect score on the AJHSME.
