Madison School Board Begins Monthly Public Forums

The Madison Board of Education begins a new series of public forums on September 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Room 103 of the Doyle Administration Building, 545 W. Dayton Street.

Entitled, "Talking with your Board Members," the meetings are intended to cover specific topics as well as any issue of interest to those attending. Meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the month in different schools, community centers and libraries.

Topics on the agenda for the September 10 meeting are class size and the superintendent search process.

"Our goal is to be as accessible as possible to our community and to provide a forum outside of formal School Board meetings where we can address issues on which we need input, and discuss any topic of interest to community members," said Carol Carstensen, Board president.
