Janna Heiligenstein has been named coordinator of the Limited English Proficiency program, pending approval of the Board of Education later today.
Heiligenstein is currently employed as an English as a Second Language(ESL) coordinator for the West Bend School District where she has been since 1997. Concurrently she has been a self-employed ESL and multicultural consultant.
Heiligenstein has a master's degree in multicultural education from UW-Madison, and is currently in the doctoral program for curriculum and instruction there.
Heiligenstein replaces Ezequiel Vargas, who is retiring.
