Cherokee Math Teacher Receives Presidential Award

Suzanne Folberg, a math teacher at Cherokee, is one of four Wisconsin recipients of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Folberg will travel to Washington, D.C. in June along with the other 207 recipients for a series of recognition events, information exchange programs, and an awards ceremony.

Winners receive a $7,500 educational grant to be used in their school, a Presidential citation, and the trip to Washington, D.C.

A national panel of distinguished scientists, mathematicians and educators recommends teachers to receive a Presidential Award.
