THEATER RENOVATION PLANS
Dear Friend of East High School,
East is embarking on a Theater Renovation Project. Its time for those old orange plastic seats to go! There are safety issues with the accoustical shells and the fly system. The plan includes much needed updates to the stage floor, sound and lighting system and a complete renovation of the embarassing guest dressing rooms. See cost estimates below.
This is a financially ambitious project. At the very least the safety issues must be addressed. We are seeking donations to help fund the project.  The Stage Floor has deep gouges and scratch marks.  The Costume Shop is a metal bar hanging in a dark basement corner. |
 The dressing rooms are poorly lit, have no storage space and no privacy. The seating is leftover audience seats.

 The make-up mirror is small and not well lit. There is no seating for it. The Audience Seats are hard plastic.

 Audience seating is hard, orange plastic seats. The hinged arm desk makes it a challenge for adult bodies. Handicapped accessibility is an issue. |
