Playsteps
-
Children with special needs often require extra help to learn to play with
toys. The new PLAYSTEPS books teach constructive play, step by step and are
recommended for children 3-8 years old. The books have been field tested
for two years with students with autism and multiple disabilities and provide
a helpful tool for parents and teachers targeting independent play skills.

The Center for the Study of Autism (CSA) is located in the Salem/Portland,
Oregon area. The Center provides information about autism to parents and

is a website that covers issues related to AAC and young children. Its purpose
is to provide information and guidance to families, teachers, speech/language
