Madison Metropolitan School District - Autism

Program Support Teachers for Autism

The Madison Metropolitan School District employs Program Support Teachers (PSTs) for Autism.  The primary roles and responsibilities of these individuals are training, consultation and technical support to school district staff and family members.  Amy Wederath and Sue Volz Nett are employed full-time with the district as Autism PSTs. Marcy Worzala is employed full-time with the district, but she works half-time as an Autism PST and half-time as an Occupational Therapist. Each is involved in providing district-wide training as well as training, consultation and technical support to specifically assigned schools. Jan Duxstad, Coordinator for Educational Services, leads the team.

To determine which Autism PST is assigned to a specific building, find the name of the school in the chart below. Each school name is linked to a page that identifies the autism program support teacher, provides some biographical information, and lets you know how best to communicate with them.

*District staff who would like support from an autism program support teacher can access the Request For Support form on the district wide web at dww.madison.k12.wi.us/es/SpecEd/autism
