Whenever a non-administrative employee or an administrator is temporarily assigned to an administrative position in a higher salary grade for a period greater than 30 consecutive working days, but less than a full contract year, said employee shall be paid a daily rate equal to seven percent (7%) greater than his/her current daily rate, or the daily rate at Step 0 of the higher position, whichever is greater. In no event shall the payment of additional compensation as provided herein result in a daily rate greater than Step 10 of the higher position.
Whenever a non-administrative employee or an administrator is temporarily assigned to an administrative position in a higher salary grade for a full contract year, said employee shall be paid the above daily rate or a daily rate per the Department of Human Resources "Procedure for Placement on the Administrators' Salary Schedule," whichever is greater.
