VACATIONS & VACATION CARRYOVERS

I. Clerical, Custodial and Trades Staff

Vacations

Details concerning the accrual and usage of vacation may be found by consulting the current collective bargaining agreement.

Vacation Carryover

Under certain circumstances, some employees have the right to carry over accrued vacation from one year to the next. Specific criteria for carryover can be found in the current collective bargaining agreement.

 

II. Administrators

Vacations

Vacation allocation for administrators is dependent upon the length of contract and can vary from year to year. Vacation allocation will be published in the Benefit Summary prepared each year by Human Resources.

Vacation Carryover

Unpaid vacation must be used within the July 1 to June 30 contract period except that five (5) days may be carried over from one year to the next. This carry over of up to five (5) days will occur automatically at the end of the fiscal year. Any days not used in excess of these five (5) days will be lost.
