Key Responsibilities

Director of Human Resources - Robert Nadler

  • Provides general leadership and management of all departmental activities, including Benefits, Employment, and Labor Relations
  • Develops and monitors the departmental budget
  • Directly supervises and evaluates the Benefits Manager, Employment Manager, the Director of Labor Relations, and the Support Services Assistant
  • Represents the Human Resources Department on the Superintendent's management team
  • Provides staff support to the Board of Education and its Human Resources Committee

Secretary Senior - vacant

  • Provides clerical support to the Director of Human Resources
  • Enters payroll data for DHR staff
  • Processes invoices for payment
  • Performs office management duties, such as facilitating office equipment repairs, and scheduling coverage for the front desk
  • Coordinates the MMSD Retirement Reception
  • Orders office supplies, organizes supply cabinets, and maintains supply budget accounts

Receptionist - Marcia James

  • Greets customers and assists them with their requests
  • Answers the front desk phone and directs calls to appropriate staff
  • Opens and closes HR office
  • Receives and forwards completed employment applications, forms, and other paperwork to appropriate HR staff for processing
  • Receives, opens, stamps, and sorts mail
  • Receives and forwards results of employment health exams and Tb skin tests; tracks test results on database
  • Processes monthly physical exam bills for payment
  • Provides back-up for application request line; sends out employment applications as requested
  • Maintains teacher visitation request file for the Employment Manager
  • Updates the front desk bulletin board
  • Maintains computer records of classified affirmative action surveys
  • Enters all classified applicants and transfers, and administrative applicants into computer database
  • Maintains supply of application packets and other Human Resources forms
