Clerical/Technical Application
Process
Thank you for your interest in seeking employment as a Clerical/Technical
employee with the Madison Metropolitan School District. Applications
are accepted only when an open position is posted. Most positions
require you to complete our application form as well as an experience
inventory. Once we receive your application, we keep it on file
for one year. If you are interested in subsequent positions with
the District, you do not need to complete another application form,
but a new experience inventory is required for each position. If
you desire to keep your application active after one year, please
contact us and we will continue to keep your application on file.
Most positions require a typing test and software proficiency tests.
The minimum score(s) required are listed on the posting. If testing
is required, we will contact you to schedule your test(s) in Human
Resources after the posting deadline has expired.
The top four to six candidates with the best combined test scores
and experience/qualifications will be referred to the hiring authority
for an interview. After your interview, we will check references,
and the supervisor will inform you that you are recommended for
hire or that you are no longer under consideration.
If you are hired, Human Resources will be notified and will send
you a New Hire Packet with forms that must be completed before you
start working. These forms include:
State (W-4) and Federal (W-T4) tax forms
Verification of Employment Eligibility
Candidate Disclosure Statement (so the District can conduct a criminal
records check)
We will also authorize you to have TB test administered by one
of our nurses on staff. When we receive all the required forms and
the results of your TB test, you will be able to begin working.
If you should have any questions regarding the screening and hiring
