Food Service Worker Application Process

Thank you for your interest in seeking employment as a Food Service Worker with the Madison Metropolitan School District. The District accepts applications at any time for part-time Food Service Worker positions. Your application should be submitted to Human Resources, and it will be forwarded to the Food Production Center. You will be contacted for an interview by a Food Production Center administrator. After your interview, we will check references, and the administrator will inform you whether you are recommended for hire or you are no longer under consideration.

If you are hired, Human Resources will be notified and will send you a New Hire Packet with forms that must be completed before you start working. These forms include:

State (W-4) and Federal (W-T4) tax forms
Verification of Employment Eligibility
Candidate Disclosure Statement (so the District can conduct a criminal records check)

We will also authorize you to have a pre-employment physical performed at Concentra Medical Centers. When we receive all the required forms and the results of your physical, you will be able to begin working.

If you should have any questions regarding the screening and hiring process for Food Service Workers, please contact Elaine Wirsbinski, Personnel Analyst, at (608) 663-1748.

If, because of a disability, you require the assistance of auxiliary aides or services in conjunction with the Food Service Worker application process, please call (608) 663-1748 or TTY (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf) (608) 663-1744 to make arrangements.
