Benefits Manager
- Sharon Hennessy
- Oversees all functions of the Benefits Division, including health,
dental, disability, long-term care and life insurances, and Wisconsin
Retirement System benefits
- Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding benefits structures,
policies and procedures
- Counsels employees regarding disability, retirement, benefits
coverage
- Negotiates with insurance companies regarding premiums and benefits
- Coordinates the MMSD Employee Assistance Program
- Directly supervises and evaluates all Benefits Division staff
- Organizes and presents new employee benefits orientation
Benefits Technician
Senior - Christie Stickels
- Performs all tasks related to employee leave of absence requests,
including determining employee's eligibility under the Family
Medical Leave Act and responding to customer inquiries and requests.
Coordinates insurance and benefits with employees while on leave.
- Performs all tasks associated with long-term disability claims
- Performs all tasks associated with dental insurance enrollment,
changes, and billing; answers inquiries related to dental insurance
- Corresponds with retirees, provides Medicare supplemental materials
upon request, and maintains files on retiree escrow accounts
- Presents New Employee Benefits Orientation
Benefits Technician
- Kathi Oestreicher
- Performs all tasks associated with health insurance enrollment,
changes, and billing; answers inquiries related to health insurance
- Coordinates COBRA, including processing applications, sending
offers to all terminated employees and dependents, maintaining
computer database, and collecting payments
- Handles annual choice enrollment for health and flexible spending
accounts
- Maintains substitute teacher insurance enrollment
- Answers questions regarding retirement benefits
Benefits Technician
- Cindy Hills
- Provides clerical support to Benefits Manager
- Enters and processes monthly invoices and records premium checks
for life, dental and health insurance for employees on leave
- Maintains supply of Benefits forms and orientation materials,
registers new employees for orientation sessions, prepares and
distributes orientation packets
- Calculates annual "months of service" rollover
- Prepares retirement counseling information for all employees
and maintains ongoing records and reports
- Secretary to EAP, maintains materials, organizes inservices
and work committee meetings
- Performs all tasks associated with life insurance enrollment,
changes, and billing; answers inquiries and issues related to
life insurance
- Performs all tasks associate with long-term care insurance enrollment,
changes, and billing; answers inquiries and issues related to
long-term care insurance
