Salary and Benefits

The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) supports its Educational Assistants, Special Education Assistants, and Nurse's Assistants by offering very competitive wages and benefits. While individual salaries are not negotiable, the starting wage for the 2007-08 school year is $11.16 per hour for Educational Assistants, $11.70 per hour for Special Education Assistants, and $13.61 per hour for Nurse's Assistants. Employees receive pay increases the start of each school year.
