About This Project

5th grade students in Mrs. Hedges and Mrs. Brill's classes at Huegel Elementary School chose this as their Sesquicentennial Project.

After selecting cities, a parent went to the State Historical Society of Wisconsin's Visual Materials Archive and selected our "then" photographs. Copies of these photographs were sent to local historical societies and Chambers of Commerce asking for similar "new" photos.

Students then wrote descriptions of these photos and everything was compiled into this website.

We hope you have as much fun looking at this as we had making it. Enjoy!
