This is a picture of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1886. Corner of Broadway and Wisconsin streets from the Miller building, which is the original site of the Old Milwaukee House. In the center of the foreground is what used to be called "the corner that never changes." Later the site of the Railway Exchange Building. The view looks down Broadway to the Chamber of Commerce and down Wisconsin Street to the bridge. Milwaukee became a city in 1846.
