TODAY'S EVENTS:

SUMMER SCHOOL 2008

Summer School 2008 will be held from June 23 through August 1, 2008. It is primarily designed for students who need to make up credit. Pre-registration is necessary. Your first step is to review the brochure, then speak with your guidance counselor.

Summer School 2008 brochures were mailed to all households in early May, 2008. The brochure contains all of the class descriptions, dates & times, and the mail-in registration form. If you do not have a brochure feel free to call your guidance counselor.

Highlights of the brochure:

Summer school classes begin on Monday, June 23rd and end on Friday, August 1st. Daily classes meet 8:00 until 10:00 a.m., and 10:05 until 12:05. You can take one or two classes.

Advanced registration is advisable, because some classes do fill up. Contact your guidance counselor in advance and secure his or her signature on your registration form.

Class fees are from $20 to $26 for each class. Fee waivers for low income students are possible.

Late registration will be held at Memorial High School and at East High School on Wednesday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon.

Things will be a little different this year. Registration for all four grades will be possible on either of the following two days:

Thursday, August 21: 8:00- 12:00noon, and 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Monday, August 25: 8:00- 12:00noon, and 3:00-6:00 p.m.

Note: If you are brand new to Memorial and did not complete the February registration procedures be sure to call our registrar, Terri Kleist, 663-6054, for an appointment, as soon as possible.
