Julie Geerdes

Ms. Geerdes has been teaching for 8 years. She currently is teaching Health, Basic Life, PE 10, PE 9,and Team Sports. She has a Masters in PE from Virginia Tech, BS degree from UW-Whitewater, PE K-12, Adaptive, and Health Minor. She is certified WSI and Lifeguard Training Instructor. Chris Grainger

Mr. Grainger has a Masters in Health Education and a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from U.W. Madison. He is currently teaching 9th and 10th grade Physical Education, Racquet Sports, Weight Training and Adaptive Physical Education. Mr. Grainger is coaching Girls (18 yrs.) and Boys Varsity Tennis (21 yrs.)and Bowling team (3yrs). He is a Judge in Gymnastics at the International level. He has received many honors including Hall of Fame Gymnastics, U.W.. Oshkosh, National Champion, All-American, USA Judge of the Year, and National Apparatus Leader. cgrainger@madison.k12.wi.us

Debbie Polster

Mrs. Polster has been teaching in the Madison District for the past 19 years. She has taught at Lafollette High School, Glendale Elementary and is currently at Memorial High School. She is teaching 9th grade Health, Challenge & Growth, Aerobics, Lifestyle Changes and Choices, and Team Sports. She coaches Mad City Aqua Stars a Synchronized swim club. She has coached swimming and gymnastics at Memorial in the past. Her Certifications include AHA CPR Instructor, Lifeguard training, WSI, and First Aid. Jim Radwill

B.S. Physical Education UW- Milwaukee. Certified WSI, Lifeguard instructor, CPR, CPR Pro, AED,O2 insructor. Volunteer insructor for the American Red Cross, adventure education facilitator. Currently pursuing a masters degree. Head wrestling coach JMM. WIAA Football official. Former college wrestler and rugby player jradwill@madison.k12.wi.us

Jon Spencer

Mr. Spencer has just taken on the role of head of the phy. ed. department. Mr. Spencer has a bachelors in Physical Education from U.W. Madison, and a Masters in Education Administration. He has taught in the Madison School District for the past 24 years. With jobs at Gompers Elementary, Emerson Elementary, Shabazz High School, and 8 years at Toki Middle School. He is currently at Memorial High School where he is teaching 9th and 10th grade PE, Team Sports, Ind. Sports, Human Relations, Advanced Ropes and the Challenge & Growth classes. He is Freshman Football Coach and Head Coach of High School Girls Hockey, first season in the district. Mr. Spencer is also a past graduate of Memorial High School jspencer@madison.k12.wi.us
