The La Follette Student Council continues to organize outstanding programs, such as the Red Cross Bloodmobile, Koats 4 Kids, food drives, tutoring programs, and community service projects. Likewise, it continues to be recognized statewide for Standards of Excellence.

The La Follette Student Council is an organization consisting of elected, appointed, and volunteer students. Each grade level elects representatives annually to decide matters of policy, social activities, and service projects for community and school.

Committee membership is open to all students. Council activities cover such a wide range of topics that any student should find something of interest. Committees in the Council focus on the following areas; charities, clubs and organizations, communication, concessions, forum, human relations, policies and procedures, social, and Wisconsin Association of Student Councils (WASC). Students are encouraged to get involved in the Student Council and help make La Follette a better high school.
