The Collaborative After School Program of Education & Recreation (CASPER) provides homeless children & children from at risk neighborhoods in the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) with extracurricular opportunities for education, recreation, community involvement, friendship, & personal growth, that might not otherwise be available. It is also the program's intent, to maintain a safe, comfortable, fun & enriching atmosphere for each participant, through the collaborative effort of area shelters, the MMSD Transition Education Program, Madison School-Community Recreation & community volunteers.

Looking for afterschool childcare 2007-08?
CASPER's Marquette, Lapham & Emerson programs are currently accepting applications for our 2007-08 We do have limited new community slots available, but you may aslo be placed on our waiting list. Return COMPLETED forms to the CASPER Coordinator @ 2421 E. Johnson St., Madison, WI 53704. All incomplete forms will be returned. Confirmation must be received before child may attend.

spring VOLUNTEER Opportunities Available!!!
CASPER is currently accepting volunteers at all 3 sites. All applicants must first attend a 1.5hr volunteer orientation before being assigned a site. Please be sure you can make a 1 afternoon a week commitment for the length of the semester before committing. Life Guard STAFF POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
CASPER is currently looking for certified lifeguard who is available to guard on Mondays 12:45-3:45pm @ Lapham Elementary (1045 E. Dayton St.) How to apply? Send the CASPER Coordinator a copy of your resume, 3 references & your fall term availability.
