Additional Compensation for Board Members

If a BOARD member is under subpoena in a legal proceeding, acts in a quasi-judicial capacity, attends a Board workshop, and/or if the Board meets at an unusual time, as determined by the Board (e.g. Saturday, Sunday, etc.), the following additional annual salary amounts shall be paid to such BOARD member:

  1. Amount of Compensation:
    1. If a BOARD member is involved in the above referenced activities and such BOARD member spends in excess of two hours during a day, but not more than three hours during a day engaged in such activity, such BOARD member shall receive $20; or
    2. If a BOARD member is involved in the above referenced activities and such BOARD member spends in excess of three hours during a day, but not more than four hours during a day, such BOARD member shall receive $35; or
    3. If a BOARD member is involved in the above referenced activities and such BOARD member spends in excess of four hours during a day engaged in such activity, such BOARD member shall receive a maximum of $50.

Additional Compensation for BOARD Members

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD or her/his designee shall automatically submit to the SECRETARY of the BOARD information on who s/he believes is eligible to receive compensation and the amount of such compensation.

The SECRETARY of the BOARD shall determine which BOARD member is eligible to receive compensation and approve or disapprove the amount of such compensation prior to the BOARD member receiving compensation.

If the SECRETARY of the BOARD approves an amount of compensation for a BOARD member, the COMPTROLLER shall include such compensation in the next regularly scheduled salary payment to the BOARD member.
