POLICY	WELFARE	4131 Pupils

Monitor and Patrol

It is the policy of the BOARD to allow certain students to assist school personnel with routine duties.

Upper grade pupils may assist school personnel with routine duties provided:
1. The duties assigned to the pupil are clearly within the pupil's ability;
2. The duties are performed under the direction of school personnel.
The following pupil assignments are approved:
1. Playground monitor;
2. School entrance and corridor monitor;
3. School bus helper;
4. Monitor at school crossings except at major traffic arteries or hazardous crossings.
