POLICY	STUDENT RECORDS	4161 Pupils

Implementation

The BOARD of the Madison Metropolitan School District, by adopting this Policy, thereby directs and authorizes the appropriate staff to establish and put in effect the Procedures to implement the Student Record Policies.

Implementation

1. School officials shall insure that student record policies will be available for parents' and eligible students' review in each school office and copies of the Polices can be obtained in the District's PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE.
2. If a parent, eligible student, or citizen of the Madison Metropolitan School District believes the District is violating the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), that person has a right to file a complaint with the Department of Education at the following address.
