Supervision of School Premises
- During the school year, school grounds shall be supervised by school personnel
fifteen minutes before classes convene in the morning and during the day when
pupils are participating in scheduled school activities until school is officially
dismissed.
- Use of school grounds for other than school activities shall be on a first-come
basis. Grounds shall not be reserved for outside activities, and no priorities shall
be established.
- No scheduled school activities shall take place on school grounds without
scheduled supervision by school personnel.

Supervision of School Premises
- The following shall not be allowed on school grounds:
- Hardball and tackle football (except in approved areas and under proper
supervision);
- Throwing of stones, snowballs, or other missiles;
- Tripping, shoving, fighting, or other disturbances;
- Climbing on fences, buildings, ledges, fire escapes, downspouts, swinging
gates, etc.;
- Making snow or ice slides on walks;
- All powered vehicles, including go-karts, powered bikes, mini-bikes,
motorcycles, snowmobiles, etc.;
- Dogs or other animals except as provided by Board Policy 4615.
- The use of roller skates, wagons, and scooters for going to and from school shall
be discouraged, but under the judgment of the PRINCIPAL.
- A pupil under the age of ten shall not ride a bicycle to school.
- The PRINCIPAL may make exception upon written request of a parent.
- The PRINCIPAL may forbid bicycles on school grounds.
- Recess periods may be staggered to relieve pressure on playgrounds.
- School ground rules and regulations shall be made known to parents and
citizens as necessary.
