Secret Societies
Sororities and fraternities under Greek letter, or any other designation, which admit or
include school pupils in their membership shall be prohibited.

Secret Societies
- Any recognition of such organizations in any manner in school shall be
prohibited.
- Any activity by a pupil for such organizations on school property or at any school
function shall be just cause for disciplinary action.
- An activity shall include, but not be limited to,
- Conducting membership drives;
- Passing out invitations to teas or other social events;
- Selling of tickets;
- Carrying out initiations or any part of an initiation.
- Any publicity promoted by any such organization associating, or attempting to
associate, the organization with the Madison Metropolitan School District or
Madison public schools shall be cause for disciplinary action.
- Disciplinary action shall be determined by the PRINCIPAL.
- A continuation of prohibited activities shall be cause for the suspension or
expulsion of the pupil. (See Policies and Procedures 4043 and 4045 for
