Attendance Areas and Boundary Changes
- The BOARD shall approve attendance areas and shall approve boundary changes.
- Public announcement of a boundary change shall be made far enough in advance of the effective date of the change to allow for a public hearing pertaining to the announced change.
- If deemed necessary by the SUPERINTENDENT, notice of the change shall be given to all affected departments of the City of Madison or other municipalities of the Madison Metropolitan School District.
- Insofar as possible, the timing of the notice shall be such as to allow the affected municipal departments to plan for their responsibilities because of the change.
- It shall be the responsibility of the COORDINATOR OF SECURITY to notify the Police and Traffic Departments so that they may have time to make any necessary adjustments.
