Attendance Areas and Boundary Changes

The BOARD shall approve attendance areas and shall approve boundary changes.
1. Public announcement of a boundary change shall be made far enough in advance of the effective date of the change to allow for a public hearing pertaining to the announced change.
If deemed necessary by the SUPERINTENDENT, notice of the change shall be given to all affected departments of the City of Madison or other municipalities of the Madison Metropolitan School District.
1. Insofar as possible, the timing of the notice shall be such as to allow the affected municipal departments to plan for their responsibilities because of the change.
2. It shall be the responsibility of the COORDINATOR OF SECURITY to notify the Police and Traffic Departments so that they may have time to make any necessary adjustments.
