Qualifications

  1. A substitute teacher shall hold a current Wisconsin teacher's license, or
    1. Shall have proof that a valid Wisconsin license was held;
    2. Shall be certificated within the semester in which the substitute teaches.
  2. Insofar as possible, qualifications for a substitute teacher shall be the same as those of a regular teacher.
  3. A STUDENT TEACHER may serve as a substitute teacher provided:
    1. The PRINCIPAL authorizes the STUDENT TEACHER as a substitute;
    2. The STUDENT TEACHER agrees to serve as a substitute; and
    3. The STUDENT TEACHER shall not be paid for substitute services.
  4. The PRINCIPAL or SUPERVISOR shall provide more supervision of the STUDENT TEACHER than ordinarily required of a regular teacher.
