Westward Expansion Issues

Ronald "Sam" Little Owl, from Twin Buttes, North Dakoda, came to Shabazz as a guest speaker and adressed the historical trends regarding westward expansion from a Native American Perspective. He also discussed the hisotry of the Ghost dance, which was a religious movement in which the Native Americans believed that by doing the ghost dance, it would bring about renewal of native society and the decline in the influence of the white man.
