The mission of the Betty Shabazz Library Media Center of Malcolm Shabazz City High School is to:
* Provide a safe, respectful and positive environment where academic excellence is encouraged and promoted.
* Provide timely materials, in a variety of formats that support the curriculum.
* Provide students with opportunities to learn skills that will enable them to effectively search for, evaluate, and use information.
* Encourage independent learning and critical thinking.
* Help students develop habits that will lead to lifelong learning.
