What is one thing you would say to a new student coming or interested in coming to Shabazz?

Try to take foreign language III and above at your home school. Shabazz is wonderful but it is a high school and you will have to work hard.

 

What are some things students should know about you?

I teach Spanish and I love to teach. I love to travel and to teach about other cultures. My family is from Ireland and my husband is from Korea. I have three children.

 

What do you think makes Shabazz different from other schools?

My goal at Shabazz is to make sure the students understand the material. The goal is not the final grade - but that the students can go on to college and be successful in Spanish.
