Safe School Environment

Educational Resource Officers

The Madison Police Department will provide part-time Educational Resource Officers (ERO) to 5 high need middle schools

School Building Redesign

MMSD will install partitions and lockable doors in schools that were designed with a minimum of walls, doorways and parti- tions

Security Equipment

All schools will acquire a variety of equipment to enhance staff capacity to monitor buildings and grounds and to communicate among themselves, students and law enforcement regarding specific incidents that pose a safety threat to the school.
