- FIRST LEGO League
Program. FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is an exciting and fun international
robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science,
and technology in kids ages 9 to 14 (16 outside of the U.S. and Canada). Each year FLL teams embark on an adventurous Challenge based on current, real-world
issues.
- Wisconsin ICE Challenge. The Challenge is a national competition that asks students to use their creative talents to communicate their energy ideas and actions.
- Battle of the Books. Speak with your school librarian.
- Destination ImagiNation. Formerly known as Odyssey of the Mind, problem solving competition.
- Midwest Talent Search and Midwest Talent Search for Young Students. Students sign up to take the Explore, ACT, or SAT tests. Each school has information packets available. If you have questions, call your school’s district TAG Resource Teacher.

- National Engineers Week Future City Competition. 7th and 8th graders, in teams of 3, design a city of the future using SimCity 3000 software, build a 3-D scale model, write an essay on an engineering related topic and give an oral presentation defending the city design to judges.
