Welcome back to Thoreau. Mrs. Schilling is back from sabbatical and is well rested and excited to be back in the classroom. I'm ready to share my new math and hip hop activities and lesson plans with the students. If you would like to see what I was up to last spring, please check out the new Hip Hop Math Website. Hopefully, many classroom teachers at Thoreau and throughout the district will be utilizing the math lessons and activities. There are certainly many that you can do at home!! We plan on having an evening concert in the late Winter or early Spring to showcase the Hip Hop Math Project. We hope you can attend!
Our Ken Lonnquist Sings With Thoreau Kids CDs from 2005 are still available for purchase! You can purchase a copy of the CD for $5. Make checks payable to Thoreau PTO. Occasionally MMSD Channel 10 broadcasts the Ken Lonnquist concert from October 11, 2005 so be on the lookout!
